The rumours are true.  Victor Green is an applicant to become the next candidate for Windsor – Tecumseh

Why did you run for the Peoples Party in 2021?

To be honest, I have been a Conservative all my life.  Both in the UK and when I immigrated to Canada.   I consistently voted for the Conservative party. In 2021, I considered applying as a candidate for the Conservative party in the Windsor-Tecumseh riding. However, I changed my mind when the Conservatives chose Erin O’Toole’s as there leader.  I was devastated, and grew increasingly disillusioned with the party’s shift towards the left. I, like many other Conservatives felt their middle-ground values were being abandoned. Consequently, I was approached by the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) and made the decision to run as a candidate.  Despite lacking a previous electoral base, funding, or recognition in the political arena, Victor managed to secure 5,927 votes, representing 10.4% of the total votes.  Considering the PPC had only formed in 2018, the election results were very impressive according to many media reports and were explained by Global News.

What were your results in 2021?

According to the analysis of the 2021 election,  data reveals that I drew support from across the political spectrum.  According to the Windsor Star:

Meanwhile, the hard-right People’s Party of Canada, with its new platform of opposing vaccine mandates, saw a significant boost in presence in Windsor-Tecumseh: By the end of Monday night, PPC candidate Victor Green had 5,814 votes (10.5 per cent) — up from the PPC’s 1,279 votes (2.2 per cent) in the riding in 2019.

According to other media reports, if the Conservatives had not entered the race at the last moment there was a strong chance that I would have won the seat.

Why did you choose to run for the CPC candidacy for Windsor Tecumseh for the 2025 election?

I chose to run because of Pierre Poilievre.  When I saw him clinch the victory with an impressive 68.15 % of the available point on his first ballot I knew I had to represent the Conservatives in my home riding of Windsor – Tecumseh.  It’s time for a Conservative MP here and a majority in the House of Commons.

Victor now seeks support for the candidacy in the Conservative Party of Canada for Windsor-Tecumseh.

What happens next?

The selection process will take place over the next few months.  The process is very thorough, and only the best applicants will get to the final vote.

If you decide to support me as your candidate, I will contact you to come and vote .  Please make sure you email me, so you do not miss out on this momentus event.  Only CPC members who live in the riding can vote for a final candidate.

In closing, thank you to all my loyal supporters, volunteers, family and friends who asked me to step forward.  If selected as your candidate for the election in 2025 ( or sooner) I will work hard for you.
