Meet Victor Green

Bio

Victor was born in London, England.  At the age of 15 he left school and a weeping mother on the doorstep as he joined the British Royal Navy as a Boy Seaman. He entered basic training at HMS Ganges at the South East coast of the UK.

After 1 year of harsh and tough basic training, during which he was most surprised to find out that several times per week he had to march to school  for English and Math lessons. Passing exams in these subjects, he got the Canadian equivalent of Grade 12 in order to remain in the Royal Navy.  He passed top of his class and joined the fleet as a Seaman Gunner.  By the age of 16 he was serving on his first front line NATO Warship as part of the guns crews.

Victor is happy to say that during his 10 years of service, (6 years regular force and 4 years
reservist) he never fired a shot at anyone. Victor is even happier to say that nobody ever fired a shot at him.

Upon returning to civilian life, Victor was employed back in HM Naval Base in Plymouth (UK) as a civilian employee. It was here for 3 years that he experienced working as a member of a Union. During this time Victor grew to understand the function and importance of Unions and how they relate to workers’ rights and conditions of employment. Victor responded to an approach to consider working in sales in the UK Financial Services industry. He took to the vocation like a duck to water. Winning many awards for customer service as well as production levels.

During his long career, he rose through the system to VP for his company in the UK which was Laurentian Financial Advisors, managing several offices with many agents, Sales Managers and staff. His region covered 2 major counties in the South West of England, with his regional office located in historic Plymouth, where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from in 1620. Victor attended some of the finest management courses in Europe and is an accomplished speaker, team builder and motivator.

Family Life and Career

Then, as befits Victor’s families entrepreneurial and exploratory nature, at a time when they were living a lifestyle that many others only dream about, after several vacations to Ontario, they applied to come to Canada for a new exciting challenge and chapter. Along with his wife Carol and 2 teenagers James and Carla, Victor emigrated to Canada legally from the United Kingdom in 1994.

Victor ran the Windsor office for Desjardins Financial in Rhodes Drive for several years. After a company restructure, Victor ran his own franchise for the company from his office in The Tecumseh Road. With a client base currently of several hundred long term clients, many of whom have entrusted Victor with their life savings as well as family and corporate security.  As a founding member of the Windsor Estate Planning Council, Victor now looks after his existing clientele as well as the occasional referral, from his home office in Tecumseh.

Victor and Carol are very proud grandparents and are pleased to see the 3 grandchildren growing up strong and true. There is no doubt in Victor and Carol’s minds, that they will grow up to be a credit to the community in which they live and serve.

Having spent most of his working career in the Financial Service industry, Victor feels he can now lend his qualifications and considerable experience to the Windsor and Tecumseh area in a positive and even more meaningful way.

When he’s out and about locally representing the Conservative Party of Canada in his capacity as Candidate Applicant for the next Federal Election, Victor endeavors to not only find out what is important to local residents in terms of their future and the future of Canada, he also answers questions truthfully and transparently, all the while challenging some of the official narratives being pushed by the mainstream media. He is determined to represent Windsor-Tecumseh constituents and put their needs first, which many believe would be unusual for a Windsor-Tecumseh MP.
Avoiding the current situation where we have an unapproachable incumbent Liberal MP who puts the needs of his party first.

Victor is celebrating over 40 years of marriage to his wife Carol.

Upon hearing Victors English accent, many people ask him which team (soccer) he supports. Victor is an avid Arsenal fan (English Premier League), he loves doing D.I.Y home improvement projects including carpentry, flooring and even drywalling when needed. Victor sometimes visits clients, and on one of the more productive business days, you may find him having tea and scones after signing contracts. (a great British tradition)
As a 29 year resident of Tecumseh and member of the Anglican Church community locally, serving 5 years previously as a choir member, Victor will inform, motivate and empower Canadians to ensure that our nation continues to be free and fair, while thriving under principled leadership and strong moral fiber. Victor is aware that the Canada his family lives in today, is vastly different than the Canada they moved to 29 years ago. Not necessarily for the better. Victor is passionate about regaining Canada’s reputation on the world stage and taking Canadians back into a position where they can have pride in the flag, trust in the institutions and confidence in the leadership.
