Got questions? I am here to answer them for you

Thank you for visiting my website.  I look forward to answering any questions you might have regarding an upcoming Candidate selection.

Some of the questions I have been asked, is:

Q: How do I know if I’m in the riding of Windsor Tecumseh Lakeshore?

A:  Click the Elections Canada website link and enter your postcode.

Q:  How does the party select who will be the official candidate for the next election?

A:  It is YOU the party members (if you have paid for a Conservative membership 21 days prior) that make that selection by ballot at a meeting they will be invited to.  Members will get to meet and talk to each candidate applicant before making the decision.

Q.  When and where is the candidate selection meeting going to be.

A.  A date has yet to be set, but with current political events unfolding, the pressure is on to get a STRONG candidate in place as soon as possible. As an educated guess, I would say circa end of November. There is One Important rule,  that IN ORDER to be able to vote, you must be a member for 21 DAYS prior to NOMINATION DAY  in order to complete a ballot to vote for a Candidate Applicant.   You must appear in person on nomination night with ID showing your name and address and proof you are a member.   An election could be called at any time so I can not stress enough that you should join now.

Q: How do I become a Conservative member in order to vote?  It only costs $15.00 annually.  Visit the CPC website and fill out the application

Q. Is there a family membership to join the party, and how much is the membership fee?

A. You can join as a family, and it is $15.00 for a full year per family member. Anyone in your household over the age of 14 can join and will get a candidate selection ballot at the candidate selection meeting. therefore, families with children who are too young to vote in an election, can be introduced to the democratic method of elections at an early stage of their development. You can join the party here.
